If you will use it without charging it will not work. May you have a question that it will work with case so, yes it will work well with case. But may it will not work good with ringke case. It will not make grip with case it can fall any time.

When it attach with iphone-12 jand start charging it shows you magsafe animation and you will get notifications that it will charge your iphone approximately  90%. Obviously it will not charge your iphone-12 pro max 0 to 90%, it is written due to your iphone safety. If you plug in on 80% than also it will charge till 90%, if you want to charge more than 90% than there is one option low power you have to press and hold and you will get the option charge pass 90%. if you are planning to use battery pack with camera and when you on your flashlight than again you will get warning that flash will work best with magsafe battery pack removed, warning will not show in video mod.

you have to install battery widget you can see on battery widget your phone charging and battery pack charging. The magsafe battery pack provide wireless charging to your airpods pro. It can't charge your apple watch because it is not designed for that. The apple watch have square shape charging poit while battery pack have circular charging point.

If you are charging your battery pack with 20W adapter/charger than ti will provide 15w wireless charging to your iphone-12. That means iphon-12 series is capable for reverse charging. you can't charger magsafe battery pack with mac charger. Yes it will attach with it but it will not alined.
